'El Tortas' and 'El Jamón'

Update of today's earlier post.

"On Wednesday's early morning, police elements of the General Attorney's Office with aid of the Mexican Marine Army, were in charge of two parallel searches, in two quartiers Del Valle Sur in the Benito Juárez section and in the Emilio Portes Gil quartier, in the Tlálpan sector.

Both searches that could be related to the capture of Jorge a.k.a. 'El Tortas' and Pedro a.k.a. 'El Jamón', main figures of two criminal groups Anti Union Group and The Tepito Union were held in two different addresses [...].

Both operations were pacific and swift, on behalf of the authorities which doesn't seem to point, so far, if people were captured, or if any of these maneuvers are related to these two leaders." [source]

"After both leaders 'El Tortas' and 'El Jamón' were detained, the General Attorney's Office, showed some images of the searches, where they found weed, methamphetamines, vehicles and guns (exclusive use of the Army and Air Force)." [source]

Who were they?

"Federal officials pointed out that 'El Tortas' is responsible for crimes such as homicide, kidnapping, extortion, payment of 'piso' [money that owners of restaurants or bars have to pay so these people don't mess with those places], sale and distribution of narcotics, mainly in the areas of Cuauhtémoc, Iztapalapa, Venustiano Carranza and Gustavo A. Madero.

[...] 'El Jamón', [...] is thought to be responsible for committing various crimes such as homicide, kidnapping, sale and distribution of drugs, extortion, collecting of 'piso' and people trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, among others.

'El Jamón' took control of the criminal organization following the arrest of David García Ramírez, 'El Pistache', on August 7th, he then took control of all criminal operations, which included extortion, collecting of 'piso' from the businessmen and owners of the restaurant and bar industries located in Mexico City, as well as the sale and distribution of drugs in these businesses, mainly in La Condesa, Zona Rosa, Polanco, Narvarte, Roma, as well as Ciudad Satélite, in the State of Mexico."
