Salintology

Salintology doesn't exist. But it could well be the current name of something incredibly monstrous. It encompasees the sons and daughters of what once (or still) meant meant power in Mexico: (three ex-presidents, one major newspaper and former secretary of Finance) Cecilia Salinas, Emiliano Salinas, Federico de la Madrid,
Enrique de la Madrid Cordero, Rosa Laura Junco, Alejandra González Anaya and Ana Cristina Fox.

All these people are involved in Nxium a multi-level marketing company of human development that defines itself as a "community guided by humanitarian principles that seek to empower people and answer important questions about what it means to be human". Human indeed, with all it's flaws and darkness.

This group not only branded some of its women, but also, blackmailed its members. The pyramidal scam meant acquiring new adepts that ranged from Smallville and Dynasty's actresses to alcohol industry Seagram's hairess.

Cults are not new, they always have a weird way of having a logic that appeals to some. Vanguard was the nickname used by Raniere, it makes reference to an arcade game he played when he was a kid. Facts like this seem as random as his sociopathic behavior.
I agree whatever was done to adults is not correct, but they were desperate consenting adults seeking to fill a void. When I try to imagine their childhoods, Cecilia Salinas' birthday party for example, beside Michael Jackson. Or any of these kids upbringing and it is not easy to deviate from whatever corruption they were exposed to, which does not justify their behavior but merely explains it.

There's an underlying story that is more macabre, the possible abuse of children from a kindergarden school under Raniere's "teachings" called Rainbow Multicultural Garden. The "educational system" is based on teaching seven different languages to children (one new language each day) who are just beginning to learn their own mother tongue. This supposedly helps the child understand the world in seven different ways.

Some of the parents that had their kids enrolled at one of these (really expensive and vegetarian) schools are stepping forward with their stories. One of these boys enrolled on his first two years of age, today is dealing with speech, sensorial, conductual and social adaptation therapies to cope with the damage done by these institutions.

Docuseries will be launched, maybe there will be some debate as means to prevent these sects but real question remains: Will the new mexican government prosecute these people?
