George Orwell, Animal Farm

For a while I've been thinking about Animal Farm. What actually sparked my interest in it, was Peña's Nieto decalogue. In Animal Farm they establish Seven Commandments and with it Animalism theory:
Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
No animal shall wear clothes.
No animal shall sleep in a bed.
No animal shall drink alcohol.
No animal shall kill any other animal.
All animals are equal.
In the story, these commandments learned by heart by the animals seem to work until the pigs start changing them one by one.
"Nevertheless, some of the animals were disturbed when they heard that the pigs not only took their meals in the kitchen and used the drawing-room as a recreation room, but also slept in the beds. Boxer passed it off as usual with “Napoleon is always right!”, but Clover, who thought she remembered a definite ruling against beds, went to the end of the barn and tried to puzzle out the Seven Commandments which were inscribed there. Finding herself unable to read more than individual letters, she fetched Muriel". [...]
You have heard then, comrades,' he said, 'that we pigs now sleep in the beds of the farmhouse? And why not? You did not suppose, surely, that there was ever a ruling against beds? A bed merely means a place to sleep in. A pile of straw in a stall is a bed, properly regarded. The rule was against sheets, which are a human invention. We have removed the sheets from the farmhouse beds, and sleep between blankets. And very comfortable beds they are too!'"
One night, after a "strange incident" Muriel, read the Seven Commandments again only to find that yet another law had changed.
"They had thought the Fifth Commandment was 'No animal shall drink alcohol,' but there were two words that they had forgotten. Actually the Commandment read: 'No animal shall drink alcohol TO EXCESS.'"
Thing is, Animal Farm, wasn't such a bad place to live just yet, it seemed it was getting better and richer though the only animals that were doing good were the pigs and the dogs.

After a while, pigs start negotiating with humans again and it was not long they start walking clumsily in two legs.
"Yes, it was Squealer. A little awkwardly, as though not quite used to supporting his considerable bulk in that position, but with perfect balance, he was strolling across the yard. And a moment later, out from the door of the farmhouse came a long file of pigs, all walking on their hind legs. Some did it better than others, one or two were even a trifle unsteady and looked as though they would have liked the support of a stick, but every one of them made his way right round the yard successfully. And finally there was a tremendous baying of dogs and a shrill crowing from the black cockerel, and out came Napoleon himself, majestically upright, casting haughty glances from side to side, and with his dogs gambolling round him.
He carried a whip in his trotter."
That's when Animal Farm starts getting unbearable to live in. Pretty much after, the pigs started using human clothes, mistreating other animals and exploiting them even more than before. Finally, one day the animals come to realize the Seven Commandments have changed drastically.
"For once Benjamin consented to break his rule, and he read out to her what was written on the wall. There was nothing there now except a single Commandment. It ran:
ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUALBUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS"
Sad part, this is very much like Mexican reality. Laws are being bent backwards and forwards to prevent us from moving, to keep us silent, encapsulated by the dark interests of the real power, for the permanence of luxurious apartments in Miami, of narcomansions scattered all over our country. It's just as Colombia, I hear; repression measures are just like Putin's, they say. What about Argentina and their disappeared students?

I wish we were not a bad sequel or a cheap rip off of an original film about abuse of power that we have seen too many times over the years. Following the same predicted steps of perversion other nations have gone through because we were too scared to create a story of our own.

Peña Nieto delusionally declared recently: Get over with it and urged the nation and Guerrero to move forward. Really.

There's a phrase in Spanish, "Borrón y cuenta nueva" which means Erase (what I owe) and open a new tab. Just like the "Peñabots" or bots who have attacked #YaMeCanse Twitter account filling it with spam? If they took these actions two years ago, through election period, why wouldn't they try more desperate measures now?

We can't seem to forget. Not only the creation of a new Twitter account #YaMeCanse2 is an expression of this. And though we have small ways to show our indignation, maybe on December 6th we might be able to shout collectively, by heartfelt and peaceful marching on the streets.

The end of Animal Farm is grandiose.
"The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
