His Holiness Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamij and Parrots, Birds Zodiac
Back to
yoga for a reason, it is after all, the space where one can become reliable again.
You see little drops of sweat falling from your forehead, you set your
attention to the reason of your (healing) practice and get challenged by your
own fears or misperceived limitations. In the end you thank your effort and put
your open palms on top of each other, thumbs touching. My new teacher says this mudra signifies let
your will be what may, so I surrender humbly to it.
If, after your practice you still have energy, you can always teach some parrots to sing some mantras.
"Intense research has yielded the truth to Sri Swamiji that a specific bird of a distinct hue and a soothing chirp, can be associated with of each of the 12 signs of the Zodiac.
Sri Swamiji was inspired by the singing of these birds to compose and play the 12 unique healing melodies, especially suited for each Zodiac sign. The birds have lent their 'singing' to these tunes. These health-giving tunes restore balance in the body and mind." [YouTube source] No luck on finding this album though.
