Silent Encroachments

In other countries, journalism is something that is awarded but certainly not in Mexico. So while someone might receive a distinguished prize outside this country; their offices might just get broken in, laptops taken and their lives threatened through social media.

Intimidation tactics? Coincidence? Sounds too paranoid right? But not in a country that gets one attack to a journalist everyday. 

And whilst some journalists have a certain exposure that relatively keeps them safe, some of them disappeared or were found dead, those lucky ones under a granted asylum, vow to never come back.
