A Country of Vanishing Reporters: A Small yet Fictional? Tale

Valentina, woke up one morning, something seemed strange, her alarm, usually set out to her favourite radio station never did wake her up. What was wrong? She wondered. A quick inspection to her bedside clock confirmed the perfect functionality of the apparatus. She tilted it and set the volume to the highest level: a small "bzzz" sound was made, then a "click" and then an unfamiliar voice filled the room with the loudest possible sound coming from such a small electrical appliance.

Federal Police Records of the Radio Station
"We are sorry to inform, our 6 a.m. news crew has vanished into thin air. The last we know is they entered the sound booth as usual but they never left it. When the next shift of communicators came in the sound booth, everything as if they had never been there. One small clue, though, was left: the broadcaster's microphone was placed on a pedestal incredibly close to the ceiling, as if the group in question was trying to get an opinion from the plaster itself; something we haven't been able to decipher yet... If you have any knowledge of the whereabouts of any of it's members, please call the following number..."

Weird. Vanished? Into thin air? That was so unlike this renowned group of reporters... This probably had a reasonable explanation... Holy Crap! She was running late, took a quick shower and jumped into her car towards work. After a red light, her thoughts came back to this issue. Maybe there were some fresh news regarding this incident and turned on the radio of her car. What the hell, the radio was ON?!! Why was her favourite music station off the air?

She arrived to her job. Just before cutting the engine off, she hesitated for a bit on both events, then moved on towards the red brick building. A small group of people were standing around the newspaper stand. She peeked through the computer-hunched backs. White small blocks of where there was supposed to be text, filled some parts of all the local newspapers! Wait, what!?

She took her phone out, took a picture.

She started laughing. Ohhh I get it! This is like a viral campaign that recognised the duty of the press in all fields! Oh, that was amazing! She immediately fled to her desk to try to google that as she happily greeted her frowning co-wokers. "What are you so happy about?" They inquired, "Can't you see what's happening?" As they pointed at their content blocked screens. "That?" She said, "is an amazing campaign don't you all agree???"

"Valentina, that is no joke nor a campaign, people are actually disappearing, take a look at this video..."

Valentina stopped smiling. Her co-worker added: "This man was a reporter, he was following the 43 disappeared students case, you remember? The one back in 2014?" Valentina remembered. "Oh yeah, yeah, I do".

Time went by. The so-called MDH or Media Dark Holes were investigated, secretly written and murmured about in certain circles but by the time these researchers or reporters were reached to be interviewed, it was already too late, they had disappeared too. Normal people, like Valentina, took action, they started to document the process of certain events in their own way, The Vanishing Resistance was the name of their fleeting movement. Of course they disappeared too. As hearsay went around, it seemed one of the cells of her reporting citizens group cracked the code of the one and only clue the first vanished reporters left at the radio station years before. On her blog, a few letters were decoded with the following message (or warning?):

THE PREVAILING MEDIA ONLY COME A FROM THE VOICE ABOVE

Was this a religious message? A political one? I guess we will never know.
