R.E. M., It's the End of the World and We Know It

My end of the world included a fifth Colombian "novena" or ninth, beignets with cinnamon syrup, having the privilege to talk to César, Mr. Bingle amongst other lit figures in the dark and dancing (while shouting-singing) to Carlos Vives with some hash harriers.

The thing is, the world as you know it can end sometimes. It forces you to move towards new ones. There are unknown worlds within a world you though you knew. Just like the Vives song, to me, it represents a feeling I would like to inspire in a man, of leaving the past behind, of being brought back to life again.
