Albino Álvarez, El Informe Toledo

On the crossroads of politics and art, or as Toledo would argue, graphic art, there is a man whose style of work seem to fit nowhere. To me, Toledo is the essence of a state, and in an a deeper scale, of a country. He is an artist that can't be separated from social issues because the social issues affect him and thus acts accordingly. The drawback is clear too, these issues can erode your soul, keep you up at night and isolated from the apathy of a nation that will keep thinking these are the political issues of a lone region and not the issues every Mexican should talk after dinner, at the news, in the park.
