Tercerunquinto (Julio Castro Carreón, Gabriel Cázares Salas and Rolando Flores Tovar)

"Paraphrasing General Álvaro Obregón’s well-known phrase, Tercerunquinto posits that, 'No wall is able to resist political cannon fire. Political graffiti is usually located in peripheral zones, whether urban or rural. Despite being economically marginalized zones –in numerical terms— they comprise the majority of voters in political elections. They also constitute a sector of society with an elementary academic education that is usually sensitive to visual images and the possibility of receiving financial compensation in exchange for their vote.  So 'street graffiti' becomes a muralist concept that is truly public and democratically encompassing, as well as a reflection of current Mexican society."
