Valerie June, Workin' Woman Blues

Someone once said to me: even though you're not working in the studio, your mind is still at work. One year out of the studio, kept me teaching and doing small projects that felt like palliatives, scattered trails that eased the anxiety of not developing something fully.

Then today, after reading and writing non-stop, while scrubbing the scalp of my head on the shower, bubbly ideas started to come together. Maybe massaging them moved them closer, eased them up, or just simply were ready to synapse.

Let see where they take me.
